Saturday, 19th September 2015, 2:30PM, at Hempnall #1
Home Match, Anglian Combination Division 5 South - 2015 - 2016
Loss, 1 - 6
With a number of call-offs and first team call-ups, the game against a mobile and speedy Attleborough side was always going to be difficult, and the task proved too much for the weakened Hempnall team.
The Attleborough side went 2-0 up before their defender inexplicably handled to ball in the area and the referee was left with no option but to send the player off.
Hempnall scored the resulting penalty, and the hope was that the team would be able to press their numerical advantage home. However, the quality of the Attelborough team, and their fitness levels, saw them comfortable winners.
Again, the young Hempnall goalkeeper was Hempnall's best player, impressing the Bungay Road Faithful with his excellent saves.
Onwards and upwards, perhaps Hempnall may be able to field a more settled side in the coming weeks to enable them to start to climb the table.
