Hempnall F.C. Reserves v Gt Yarmouth Town Res

Joint Managers (Managers)
Report By Joint Managers (Managers)

Saturday, 26th October 2013, 1:30PM, at The Wellesley

Away Match, Anglian Combination Division 3 - 2013 - 2014

Loss, 0 - 6

Having won our previous game at Worstead with some excellent football, we drew Gt. Yarmouth Town Reserves in the next round.

To be honest, the draw could've been a little kinder!

We travelled over there and could see as we walked from our cars that they were from a much higher standard as they had clearly been warming up for some time and looked well drilled.

Now, to cut a long story short, we lost 6-0, but that was far from a true reflection on the way my lads played.

Not only keeping Yarmouth at 0-0 until the 60th minute, but could've been 2 goals in front!!

We competed on a level par with them that day until we simply ran out of steam, which was inevitable after the hard work every single player got through.
