Hempnall First Team v Horsford United

Report By No specific role (No role)

Tuesday, 20th August 2013, 6:30PM, at Horsford Village Hall #1

Away Match, Anglian Combination Division 1 - 2013 - 2014

Loss, 0 - 6

Hempnall had to travel to Horsford on Tuesday evening for their second game of the season.

This was not ideal as both fullbacks were unavailable due to work and most of the squad turned up within minutes of kick off, Horsford started quickly and put the team under pressure.

On almost their first attack they got behind the defence and slotted home. This was only the start of the problems keeper Kelly pulled his groin and could hardly move in goal, Burton then pulled up as Horsford once again got behind the defence and made it 2 to Horsford, Burton had to be replaced in defence, to add to the woes Rope then got an injury to his neck and couldn’t head the ball so had to be moved up the park, with no first choice players in the back 4 and keeper injured. Horsford took full advantage and the constant pressure soon told as it was 4 at half time.

Horsford put pressure on straight from ko and soon found the net again, Hempnall just couldn’t get any sort of hold on the game at all with players going down with cramp and injury Horsford made it 6 before full time and Hempnall finished with only 10 on the park, but don’t take anything away from Horsford who dominated from start to finish.
