Hempnall First Team v Bradenham Wands Res

Jason Trett (Chairman)
Report By Jason Trett (Chairman)

Saturday, 23rd March 2019, 2:30PM, at Bradenham #1

Away Match, Hadley & Ottaway Anglian Combination Division 3 - 2018 - 2019

Loss, 1 - 3

On Saturday, we travelled to Bradenham in search of 3 points to try and get that top 4 finish.

We again had several changes, and with Davis absent, Ben Radford went in goal. The back 4 comprised Bennett, Clarke, Docherty and Kelly, midfield of Clarke, Thompson, Watts and Etherington, and the front two Gent and Womack. West, Bunn and Trett were on the bench.

Hempnall once again started the game slowly and after 30 minutess found themselves 3-0 down, but then started playing, and on 35 minutes, Etherington pulled a goal back.

From that point onwards, Hempnall dominated the game, creating several chances but unfortunately none were taken and we were unable to add further goals which our play deserved.

Final score 3-1.

Great second half performance but we need to be starting games a lot brighter.
