Hempnall First Team v Buxton

Jason Trett (Chairman)
Report By Jason Trett (Chairman)

Saturday, 21st October 2017, 2PM, at Buxton Rec

Away Match, Anglian Combination Division 3 - 2017 - 2018

Loss, 0 - 4

Today we travelled to high flying Buxton, who currently sit 2nd in the league.

The game was even for the first 15 minutes, but Buxton soon took the game to Hempnall and were looking dangerous when going forward and took the lead from a corner on 20 minutes.

Hempnall threatened on a couple of occasions when Billy Kelly put in a couple of decent crosses from the left but that was all Hempnall offered in the 1st half.

Buxton took a 2-0 lead on 30 minutes with a good finish from 30 yards.

Half time 2-0.

With strong words spoken at half time the managers were looking for a response in the second half but unfortunately this didn't happen and Buxton continued to dominate and added 2 more goals. Final score 4-0.

The club would like to wish the Buxton forward a speedy recovery after he took a knock on the ankle after good strong but fair tackle.

Come on lads, we all need to pull together after a disappointing performance and result.
