Hempnall FC

We very much regret to announce that Hempnall Football Club has had, after over 100 years, to close.

Following promotion (2026) to Division 2 of the Anglian Combination and winning the League 'Respect' award, we were looking forward to a successful season in the higher Division, but issues during the summer recess with squad numbers, (due to retirements and other factors), led us to the view that our already small and, in our view, weakened squad, would not enable us to compete in the forthcoming season. 

Closure was something we were desperate to avoid, but the burden placed upon a small village club, with competition from larger towns, the lack of younger players in the village, increasing League requirements, and other factors, led us to the inevitable conclusion that Hempnall Football Club in the Anglian Combination is no longer viable. 

Therefore, and after much soul searching, we reached the conclusion that club closure is the only option.

We will maintain this website for a while.

Thanks to everybody who have been involved in this Club over the years, it will be a shock to some of our former players and members.
