Hempnall F.C. Reserves v Colkirk

Jamie Bennett (Joint Sunday team manager)
Report By Jamie Bennett (Joint Sunday team manager)

Saturday, 06th October 2018, 3PM, at Colkirk F.C.

Away Match, Central & South Norfolk League Division 4 - 2018 - 2019

Win, 7 - 2

On Saturday we travelled to play Colkirk on a blustery, rainy day.

We once again came out on top despite making heavy weather of it.

With Forbo battling to win every header in center midfield, we were looking strong in that area, and with Chapman being an outlet on the wing, also drifting into the middle of the park, Colkirk were struggling to keep us out.

Land and Elton took full advantage of some great play, Elton scored a hat-trick, Land two, the other two were from Chapman, who ran through most of their players for his second goal of the game.

Still not giving in, Colkirk had a couple of chances but Bailey was quick off his line meeting them on the edge of the 18 yard box, clearing the ball away bravely, and we continued to battle on with great football all round.

Elton had a great game, with Radford and Forbes battling hard in the middle able to play the ball to the mobile centre forward, and Elton fully deserved his hatrick.

Well played everyone today, battling hard until the end, even tho we were that far in front.

Let’s keep this unbeaten run going into next week when we welcome bar 33 at home.

Well done lads.
