 An Annual Autumn Break....

Hempnall Res Vs Bungay Town

With the Reserves facing local rivals and arch enemies Bungay Town in the League Cup competition, a win was going to be difficult but a huge performance from those who it means most, was guaranteed.

The Ressies started brightly against a youthful but experienced Bungay side until...... probably the most talented and gifted of all Hempnall's players ever to have graced the Bungay Road turf, block tackled the Bungay midfielder and broke his tanned, waxed, lightly moisturised but muscular leg.

All our thoughts and prayers are with the wonderfully gifted centre midfielder, two footed play-maker and dead ball expert, Oli Pointer, who will be sidelined for 8-10 weeks! Surely his fast track to the Barclays Premier league will be put temporarily on hold until next season!!

The final score finished 6-1 to the Suffolk outfit, but the real accolades go to 2 players in the Hempnall side who put in heroic performances. Jordy 'MMA' Batterham and Tommy 'The Gun' Leeder we're hugely impressive against the higher level opposition and kept the capacity crowd entertained with captivating displays of courage and commitment!! Well done gents.
